The Network Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement Strategy (2021) outlines a strategy for patient and public involvement (PPI) in the across member organisations to facilitate the engagement of patients, public and wider service users in the most appropriate way in the planning, provision and evaluation of critical care health care services. This Strategy is informed by the Network vision, that all patients within the Network receive safe equitable access to the best care in the most suitable environment including timely transfer to regional centres.
PPI is a key component that supports the Network’s objectives and whilst this Strategy provides an overarching approach to engagement and involvement at a Network level, it does not replace local participant member organisation PPI Strategies.
