Network Education and Training

The EMCCN provides a platform for collaborative learning whereby members of the Network work together to share knowledge and expertise. This has led to the design and implementation of regional training.

The Network has a long history of involvement in Education and Training in the interests of standardising practice and reducing variation across the region. Education projects have included

  • Critical Care Competency developments moving to National Competency implementation and links with the CC3N Education Sub Group
  • Transfer Training
  • Improvement Methodologies Training
  • Psychological Skills for Critical Care Teams

The Network has a Clinical Nurse Educator Group and representative members are CNEs from each of the Critical Care Units in the Network. The current Group Chair is Laura Bathe laura.bathe@nuh.nhs.uk

For further information on these courses and others, please contact the Network Administrator anna.johnson@emas.nhs.uk who will put you in touch with the relevant personnel or project leads.
